David studied guitar with Gordon Crosskey and Carlos Bonell. Since his professional debut in 1976 he’s been active as a soloist and chamber musician, building an association with contemporary music that’s seen him perform in many world and UK premieres. David graduated in music from Oxford University in 1980, and in 1986 completed a D.Phil on the music of US composer Elliott Carter: since then he’s combined performing and composing with a career as a technologist, notably as CTO of Sibelius Software, Vyclone Inc, and Tido.
